2006 Cessna Fly-in

2004 Port

This vintage style port was made using our best Syrah grapes and the depth and richness of flavors reflect this. This port was made in a vintage ports style, restoring the flavor of the fruit and only aged for two years in barrel. The wine was fortified with neutral spirits and then gently basket pressed. Aged in French Oak barrels. This port should be drinkable for the next 20 years. We can't wait that long, so we are drinking it now.

Sensory evaluation: Cherry, white chocolate, plum and dark fruit flavors with a balance of fruit and sweetness, not overly sweet, incredible with chocolate truffles.
